Original Tumblr Post: Legato and his accessories
Onto Volume 2
So the first time I read the Trigun manga, I had the thought of “Dang, Legato shows up really early,” when I got to these chapters.
Also, when it comes to his accessories, I fixated on that mandible he’s wearing like a bracelet around his wrist. Assuming that he is wearing actual human remains, I spooked myself by wondering if the mandible could have belonged to a child given how small it looks in the panel. But now I think that’s unlikely because of the more vertically oriented ramus. It’s probably just the bottom half of the decently adult-sized looking skull on Legato’s shoulder. Interesting how the teeth seem to have been altered. I suppose it would’ve clashed with the rest of his sharp pointy aesthetic otherwise.
