Original Tumblr Post: How Rem Named The Twins

How Rem Named The Twins

#Vashu #I personally hc that Rem just looked at objects when she tried to name the twins and saw a knife #and Vash sneezed so he became Vash

@makima-s-most-smile I hope you don’t mind me stealing your tags from one of my book club posts but they are the BEST and they got me thinking. I heard once that people give foster kittens stupid names like Fork or Garbage Bag so they don’t get attached to them when they have to give them away. Except you know how it goes. You get attached and now your cat has a stupid name.

What if Rem did the same thing? She looked around, gave the twins random names, hoping to not get attached because, you know, they’re Plants! She’s not equipped to be a mom, she’ll make this someone else’s problem at some point. But then, oopsie, they’re her children now and one of them is named Knives because she happened to look at one while naming him and the other one is Vash because he has a cute sneeze.
