Original Tumblr Post: Vash is relieved
Vash is relieved
This is one of my absolute favorite panels in the whole dang series. The entire volume he’s been seeing wave after wave of his dead family, and he’s been all alone, Wolfwood off facing nine-lives. Then he wakes up and Wolfwood is there and he’s okay, Meryl and Milly are okay, Jessica is okay. And he is just so relieved.
Like look at his face when he sees Wolfwood:
And the girls:
I’m not always the best at reading expressions but I think he looks shocked, like there’s this moment where he won’t quite let himself believe that they’re there and safe.
Jesus, he came back home knowing they were in danger and just hoping that everyone was safe and then he had that ripped out from under him in the most mocking way possible.
This series is going to be the death of me, we’re only on volume 3.
