Original Tumblr Post: Tidbits
Brief Volume 4 Tidbits
Huh, this man, who we assume is Meryl’s father looks like he’s wearing headphones around his neck. I wonder if his occupation was something in mass communications, like radio. And in Trigun Stampede Meryl is a journalist instead of an insurance agent…..Maybe this is a connection that gets explored in the show’s future.
Speaking of Meryl, I’m so amused that this drinking outfit was apparently the inspiration for the frog button closure top she wears in Stampede. The creators at Studio Orange really went through every panel of this manga with a fine-toothed comb, didn’t they?
Aw, the men are bummed that Meryl and Milly went pregaming without them. The friend group is taking root.
**EDIT: Total oopsie on my part about Meryl’s costuming. I completely forgot that shirt shows up in Trigun volumes 1 and 2. It looks like it’s her regular top and the cloak covers the frog button part most of the time. Sorry my brain is all shot to hell today
