Billy Accepting To play one of the main characters in it, it's not like the kind of thing you don't do. Oh, I'd rather not play Pippin in "Lord of the Rings"... in fact, I'm trying to think - what else would you rather do, you know? I can't actually think of another job that I'd rather do.
Billy Bad Day The rain came through so you were walking around in puddles of cold water. I remember doing one night shoot when my feet have never felt so uncomfortable. I was almost in tears. It was quite a relief when they called a wrap.
Billy Merry and Pippin They're so close; it's like one completes a side of the other's personality. Then they get split up, and both of them go through hell. That's one of the most interesting things to explore as an actor--to see a character separated from all the people he trusts and relies on, then to be put back together again.
Billy Orc Scene It was a horrible experience. I even feared for my life in one scene. The Orcs have costumes made of spikes and they were throwing me and Dom (Dominic Monaghan, who plays Perry) around. I was close to getting speared by an Orc and was thinking to myself ... 'that would be a strange way to go'. But I was lucky. In the first film I was bitten on the backside by a horse, but this time I managed to remain unscathed.

Pippin He's the youngest, most immature and naive. He has to grow up quickly. He famously knocks the skeleton down the well in the Mines of Moria when they are trying not to alert the Orcs that they're there. He doesn't think of the repercussions.
Billy Pippin One thing about Pippin right from the beginning is that his whole life revolves around friendship. He loves his friends in the Shire more than anything...Suddenly, things turn very serious and dark for Pippin. He's falling in marshes and meeting magical creatures and he'd rather be back at the pub chatting with the ladies!

Script with Dom Two guys from Britain who end up in the Florida Keys and run a diving school by mistake. They lie their way through. As Dom says, it's funnier than a penguin playing a banjo.
Billy Tolkien Working as a bookbinder, I had put covers on 'The Lord of the Rings,' but I never read it. It was just too big. I finally read it when I knew I was playing Pippin and realized that really it is all about Pippin and some other people! We had like six weeks of training, from sword fencing to canoeing, and going to the gym - getting that hobbit physique!

Tolkien Strangely enough, the first time I tried to read the book I was on holiday in Florida. I dropped it in the pool my first day there. If that's not a Pippin thing to do, I don't know what is.
